No. 2I, EDWARD HERPELL /also known as Edward Herpel/ of 317, Clapham Road, S.W.9, in the County of London, Doctor of Law, hereby revoke all wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me AND DECLARE THIS TO BE MY LAST WILL WHICH I MAKE THIS SIXTH DAY OF AUGUST, one thousand nine hundred and sixty one.1. I APPOINT THE NATIONAL PROVINCIAL BANK, CRICKLEWOOD BRANCH, BROADWAY, 173 CRICKLEWOOD BROADWAY, LONDON, N.W.2, to be the EXECUTOR AND TRUSTEE of this, my will, and I DECLARE that they shall be entitled to charge for the work done by them in and about the proving of my will and the winding of my Estate.2. I WISH MY FREEHOLD PROPERTY at 317, Clapham Road, London, S.W.9 to be sold. The money received from the sale together with my money in the bank and two Post Office Savings Books, added together, to be disposed of in the following way.3. I BEQUEATH the sum of ONE THOUSAND POUNDS free of all duties to ANDREW HENRY ANTHONY DLUGOSZ of 317, Clapham Road, London, SW9.4. I BEQUEATH the sum of TWO THOUSAND POUNDS free of all duties to FATHER TADEUSZ KĘSIK Chancellor to the Bishop of Sandomierz, in Poland, and without imposing any trust or obligation upon him, I request that he shall offer thirty Gregorian Masses for the repose of my soul.If the said Father Tadeusz Kęsik shall pre-decease me, then I authorize my Executors to pay to any Roman Catholic priest selected by them the sum of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS for offering the said Masses.5. I BEQUEATH the sum of THREE HUNDRED POUNDS to PATRICK JOSEPH BURNS of 317, Clapham Road, London S.W.9, and I ask my Executors to permit him to choose any piece of jewellry from my safe deposit at Messrs. Harrods, Knightsbridge, London S.W.1, which he considers the best souvenir from me.6. I GIVE to the above mentioned ANDREW HENRY ANTHONY DLUGOSZ of 317, Clapham Road, London S.W.9, absolutely all my jewellry and other contents of my safe deposit at Messrs. Harrods, of Knightsbridge, London S.W.1.7. I BEQUEATH the sum of TWO HUNDRED POUNDS to W.E. WISE & SON, firm of Solicitors, Halton House, 20-23 Holborn, London, E.C.1, in appreciation of their kindness and help shown to me during my stay in Great Britain.8. I BEQUEATH the sum of TWO HUNDRED POUNDS to Mr. HOWLETT, the Manager of the National Provincial Bank, Cricklewood Branch, 173 Cricklewood Broadway, London N.W.2, in recognition of kindness and help extended to me in my last years.9. Subject to the payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expenses and to the legacies hereinbefore bequested I GIVE. DEVISE AND BEQUEATHE2.my property of whatsover kind and description in the United Kingdom unto the POLISH CATHOLIC MISSION, 2 Devonia Road, London N.1, with the condition that the money they receive from my trustees has to be expended solely for the relief of Polish orphans and for the relief of Polish persons who, through old age or infirmity are unable to work to support themselves.10. NOTWITHSTANDING anything hereinbefore contained, my foregoing WILL shall affect and relate only to my estate in the United Kingdom. As to my property outside the Unitd Kingdom, that is to say in Austria and in Poland, I have disposed of this by a separate will /deposited with Notary PLISZCZYNSKI of MIODOWA STREET WARSAW/ in favour of my wife, daughter and certain relative.IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand the day and year first before written.
